Sustainable PVC-U
PVC-U – as used for windows and doors – is not the environmental ‘bad guy’ you may have read about in the press. In fact, it’s a surprisingly planet-friendly choice.
- PVC-U has a long lifespan and can be recycled many times over without losing its properties.
- The largest constituent of PVC-U is salt and the hydrocarbon component can be derived from biofuel sources.
- PVC-U needs no paints, preservatives or other chemical treatments to protect it from the elements or from attack by pests.
- PVC-U is an effective insulator. By keeping homes warmer it can reduce your energy consumption and cut carbon emissions.
Recycled PVC-U is already in our products
We’re passionate about doing our bit, so whenever we can, we use recycled PVC-U in our production. The quality is just as good as the first time around – we wouldn’t have it any other way – and we’re doing our bit to keep waste out of landfill.
Creating greener homes
Our sliding door systems help to build more environmentally friendly homes, achieving A+ Door Set Energy ratings for thermal efficiency and because they’re manufactured in the UK, we keep our carbon footprint as low as possible.
